Who we are

Newcastle Business Forums is a free service to businesses in the city. They are run, on a voluntary basis, by their local Chairman and the membership.

The local chairs are:

Phil Kenney, Chairman East City Business Forum
Sheila Walker, Chairman North/Central Business Forum
Caroline Saul, Chairman West City Business Forum

The forum is supported by Newcastle City Council, who have Local Area Officers dedicated to building relationships with local businesses and working closely with forum members. In particular they focus on:

• Involving the business community in local regeneration initiatives.
• Providing advice and information on business support and funding that is currently available.
• Linking businesses into new procurement opportunities within the City Council.
• Providing a local contact-point to help business access City Council services and resolve business-related issues.
• Ensuring that Forum members are aware of events and support activities that will help them grow their business. 

What we do

The Forums are here to help your business achieve its goals. There are Business Forums meeting regularly throughout the city with a forum for the West End, East End, North West and a sector specific Retail Forum.  There is also a central steering group for Newcastle.

We are supported by Newcastle City Council, and their Local Area Officers provide local contacts for members. The business community has a key role to play in the success of Newcastle and the Forums provide businesses with the chance to have their say on plans and initiatives.

Who can benefit

If your business is located in Newcastle you are eligible for FREE membership including benefits such as entry on the Business Directory and notification of local events to help your business grow.
